Kim Koster was born and raised in Toronto. She runs a brand strategy consulting business, Koster Strategy. Kim’s long and successful business career has included a global leadership role at advertising agency Leo Burnett, where she had the chance to work with colleagues around the world. She was continually impressed with the high calibre of talent she encountered in her travels; so impressed that she relocated several professionals from the company’s global network to work with her in the Toronto office. She’s passionate about realizing the untapped human potential in organizations, with a focus on women and newcomers.
At WoodGreen, Kim has found the ideal opportunity to share her extensive experience in the Canadian workplace, working with the brilliant participants of the Community Connections program. Her favourite thing is to run sessions where participants practice the soft skills so important to building a career in Canada, such as running meetings and building relationships at work. She is thrilled to have a role in launching the Career Pursuit blog!
Beyond WoodGreen, Kim is involved in the community as a board member of Invest Toronto, the city’s foreign investment attraction agency. She is a thought leader in the business community, and a member of the Canadian Marketing Association’s Branding and Strategic Planning Council.
